The name “hamour” or “hammour” (Arabic: ر ْ و ُّ ام َ ه, romanized: hāmmūr) is used to describe a number of fish, mainly the goldspotted rockcod (Epinephelus coioides) and brown spotted reef cod (Epinephelus chlorostigma).
